Albuca Spiralis Care | 'Frizzle Sizzle' Plant

Albuca spiralis is one of the weirdest looking succulent plants you'll ever see. Leaves that look like green curly fries and a yellow, a vanilla-scented flower, and a thick bulb that all of this weird growth is coming out of, it looks like it was designed by a child in a fever dream! It's one of the easier plants to care for provided you follow some classic rules of thumb of succulent care: lots of light, and water only when necessary.

I have one! Thanks for these tips because I underwater it and as a result the leaves did die back this fall. However, new leaves are coming in so I'll be sure to give it more water. It flowered last summer and they absolutely do smell like vanilla :-)

My daughter bought one of these for me last summer. I couldn’t keep it alive. The leaves straightened out. It was a huge bummer. I have a ton of house plants... I think maybe not enough light for me.
