Alright explanation time that might help for those struggling. I use bic pens when im messing around with it at work because there flat. Basically you want to have your middle finger about middle of the pen your index finger on the edge of the pen and your thumb smack in the middle. You have to make sure your thumb is straight or in a way almost hyper extended and that the pen is above the bridge of your thumb. After you have this set up you want to push the pen with your middle finger towards yourself while simultaneously extending out your index finger so then pen has room to spin. As its wrapping around your thumb you bring your index back in and catch it. I hope this helps this is the basic version i cant do any of the advanced shit hes doing here. Also heavy pens make it kind of easier so keep that in mind
