It is very strange, it I think for the demographic the g7 is aimed towards the rotatable lcd screen is more than enough 90% of the time. I'm looking at the Sony a7iii, but the rotatable lcd screen is one of the reasons I'm also looking at the g9. Ive gotten to use the a7iii and it feels really good to use and gets good videos and pictures, but only being able to angle the screen up and down and not out the the side is a big draw back for me.
