LOST ARK CLOSED BETA LEAKED?

Lost Ark is available to pre-purchase right now via Steam. There are Founder's Packs ranging from $25 through $100 and each of them has their own worth.
While the game is going to be 100% free-to-play, the Founder's Packs in question do provide players access to not only a 3-day head start, but also confirmed Closed Beta access. Which, according to DatModz will be next month in July.

During the Alpha test the game received "overwhelmingly positive" reviews from players. This makes sense. Mrs Stix and I have streamed hundreds of hours of Lost Ark over on Twitch over the last year, and thoroughly enjoyed a lot of what we got to experience.
From the absolutely stunning graphics, to the fast fluid action combat, to the character creation, to the... well the story was in Russian and translated into very basic English, but I'm sure once we're capable of getting into the translated story, it'll be pretty solid.
It honestly seemed pretty JRPG-y to me. Kinda what you'd see out of an Anime, which works as the MMO community and Anime community share a lot of similar tastes.

As of right now, Lost Ark has yet to confirm their exact release date. In my last video I covered how they had changed the date to "October 21st, 2021" for a very short period, before changing it to "December 31st, 2021."

Yup, Lost Ark's Closed Beta may have just been leaked. And you know what? It's closer than you might think. Which is surprising, considering it'll be within close proximity to New World.
Will you be purchasing a Founder's Pack to get into the Closed Beta, or will you just wait until the game launches later this year?

I just wanted to clarify, that I was given permission to talk about a potentially future beta and nothing was "leaked". I only talked about what I was given permission to in the 2-hour live stream segment and never talked about anything that would fall under any NDA.

For me lost ark is the perfect game, I love aprgs, especially topdown view ones, I love mmo's and I love flashy graphics. I see myself sinking 1000's of hours in lost ark.

Go pre-order the game on Amazon.
Wait a couple of days until you receive your steam key.
Cancel the order afterwards.
Amazon will not charge you anything if you cancel the order before the game official launch!

As a massive Diablo, mmo and jrpg fan, this game will be damn near perfect. And since I played it, I know this to be true for me. The only thing holding me back was Russian language.

I think Americans are confusing this game for what it is. This game will most definitely re-define the genre that it was created as - which is a top down dungeon crawler/looter (think Diablo) but now with solid PvP elements. But you're right, it won't redefine the MMORPG genre because well, its not an MMORPG. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You had me until the end mate. I don't understand why people always have to compare stuff and say "This won't dethrone WoW or FFXIV". Nothing needs to dethrone these other top MMO's. Players such as myself have spent years playing WoW and FFXIV, among other games as well, and are tired of them, or never returning. I have zero intentions of ever looking back at past MMO's. No game should ever be trying to 'dethrone' another game, they simply need to follow by example and be good to the players. People will flock to any new MMO that is launched because they are tired of the old ones, we just want something new from the same ones we've all played before and are done with.

I also watched the videos coming out of SK all those years ago, and swore to everyone I'd play this beautiful game if it game to US. When I heard that there was a closed alpha in June, I put my money on the table and bought a gaming laptop :) I can't wait to play it, regardless of gameplay/story. I'll play it because it looks incredible, it's set in fantasy, I can play without a monthly subscription, and I've been thinking about it for it for six years!

Note: The developers in a recent roadmap interview said a raid will be coming out that will take days to complete that will "change mmo's" so thats also exciting to see the future of lost ark way down the line has great potential. As well as open world pvp etc
