maybe it's his job to color or to brighten up maloi's world, now that his job is done it's time for him to go. and i think that explains why maloi smiled at the end because it's for her to cherish the bright and happy world that maki gave her.

everyone (well, at least most of us) used to have someone as genuine like maki's role in the mv but all of a sudden they'll just leave for a reason that we don't know for sure.

plus, i think the mv is also about the kasabihan na "tsaka mo lang ma aappreciate yung tao kapag wala na" well, everything happens for a reason, right? maybe it's time for maloi's character to make and color her own world.

Ganda ng MV. 🥺 What if Maki was meant to represent the fun times in our youth? The friends we had and lost along the way? He was wearing a HS shirt when he waved goodbye, like how our memories fade away.

Doesn't have to be romantic, it can be platonic. A barkada or a lone friend you met and brightened up your day. Then you part ways. Like saying not all you meet is meant to stay.

Explanation: Maki came into Maloi's life to lighten up her darkness so when Maki left, Maloi was devastated and still a little happy and that's why Maki came and left Maloi's life

HOW I INTERPRET THE MV (di lang makaget over sa kantang to, angganda)

1. Maloi is either depressed or at least, views the world as dull.
-MV starts with Maloi waking up on her room na medyo dimly lid. I think it portrays that she somewhat sees her whole world like that, evidence din yung paintings na nasa room niyang shades of black and white ang gamit lahat.

2. I like the choice for this shot at 0:20 kasi the whole scene shows the bright side (yung left part na natatamaan ng araw) then the dark side (sa right where Maloi starts to walk) na eventually makakabangga niya si Maki on the sunnier side.

3. Pretty symbolic sa akin how it was when Maloi had already walked sa brighter side nung nabangga siya ni Maki and accidentally painted her dress with yellow. I interpret it as Maki is the first person to show Maloi happiness since yellow usually means happiness diba?

4. After that fateful bump, pansin niyo talaga agad na nagbago yung color grading ng whole MV. It kinda has this "fluttery/fairytale-like" vibes. Can indicate how she started to have a crush.

5. Gusto ko lang icompare yung color grading between these two similar shots sa 0:42 at 1:05. I swear, i think mas darker yung left side sa unang shot. Might be to show na even though Maloi is on the brighter side na nung frame, and Maki is like the reason of it, Maki is actually similar with Maloi when it comes to how they view their worlds. So debale parehas silang depressed or maybe at least lonely. But when they're together na sa latter shot, the world seems to lighten a bit for the both of them. I dunno.


6. Wala lang. Nanotice ko lang na well-lit and yellow pa talaga yung hue sa shot in 1:25 . From dimly lit to sunset-like agad ang peg.

7. I also noticed sa 1:37 na they are now using a lot of colors sa arts nila. Even Maki wears a colorful shirt. Feel ko it is to portray lang talaga how they somehow colored each other's worlds.

8. I like the contrast sa drawing ni Maki where Maloi is colored yellow and ang kay Maloi naman eh sketch lang but merong rainbow din. Can depict that regardless na hindi pa klaro kay Maloi what kind of color si Maki para sa kanya, she knows na Maki is someone who definitely shines like a rainbow.

9. No comment sa montage ng harutang Loiki. Ayokong masaktan. Hahaha. Pero sigenanga. Cuties sila dun.

10. I like how the nila was colored yellow rin (no to Jeepney phaseout). Might also show that this was their safe space. They both love art obviously and they hang their works. Wala lang. Ang cute. Ako, gusto ko lang i-hang yung ex ko jan.

11. After the montage, nag-dim ulit yung colors sa scene na hinatid na ni Maki sa bahay nila si Maloi. Parang build-up siya sa kung saan papunta yung story.

12. I noticed how there were colorful scribbles na nagde-depict ng kaunting dialogue na naghihint na nawala bigla si Maki. Might indicate na even though hinahanap siya ni Maloi after he went missing, di pa rin nagsisink-in sa kanya na wala na si Maki (not sure if he died or nangghost lang).

13. The moment na pumasok si Maloi ulit sa Jeep but this time, wala na yung decors and arts na ginawa nila ni Maki, dahan-dahan din atang nag-dim yung color grading (not so sure on this one). I think it shows na when Maki's disappearrance sinked in na kay Maloi, she's slowly turning back to the time where her world seems to be not that colorful.

14. Feel ko artwork ni Maki yung tinapon ni Maloi sa jeep. May colors eh. So far, we know Maloi's character only uses black and white colors sa kanyang art. May scenes sila na maloi is still using black color but Maki looks like he's teaching Maloi to use other colors as well sa previous scenes.

15. Yung final scene where Maloi picked up a color yellow crayon then started to color her drawing. 😭👌
Might depict how instead of depending to Maki in coloring her world, she now takes her first step in painting her own colors. Maloi, eventhough heartbroken, learned that it's up to her on how she would view her world and this time, she choose happiness on her own.

Cute naman ni maloi sa uniform, para syang si first love from high school na nagturo sayo kung paano magmahal, yung tipong bitter ka about sa love life pero nung pagdating nya, nag-iba na perspective mo about love. Na-realize mo na ganto pala ang feeling ng magmahal at mahalin genuinely...

Tapos, an incident happened. Yung bus na sinakyan nya nahulog sa bangin. You cried, you couldn't accept what happened, you'll have flashbacks on how happy you guys were back then...

Years have passed, you are still confused if naka move on kana sa kanya 'coz you couldn't love any one the same as you loved maloi. Yung love na binigay and na-receive mo from her is different eh.
