dubstep bass sounds without vital or serum? Bitwig Phase-4

Believe it or not, it´s possible to do midrange bass sounds in #Bitwig without #vital or #serum or any other wavetable synth. Pure Frequency Modulation synthesis style.

Great tutorial. Thank you! I think Phase-4 Phasemodulatioin is still heavily underrated as well as other FM oriented synths because lot people think it is too complicated to use it. It is just the smart combination of parameters you showed that makes it complex and interesting, but at the end not complicated aka easy 🌻

Random thought in re unsynch'd LFOs, I often use the quantized scale for the rate knob but then dial in a non-integer value. I want something that varies slower than a bar or faster than a quarter note, I'll set the knob's scale and value accordingly.

Same can be said for every style of music.
If your kick & bass are not good or clean. Then you have no business progressing!
& slapping more layers isn’t fixing anything!

Such basses are old. You will not meet such sounds in 2022 dubstep music, Robert. This basses could be used as a starting point to make modern basses. More modulations and layers are needed. Check out releases from Disciple, Rushdown and Monstercat labels.
