Aerogel, the world's lightest solid explained !

Показать описание
Aerogel is the world's most lightest solid contains 99.8% air. It was first created by Samuel Stephens Kistler in 1931. This is a synthetic porous ultralight material derived from a gel, in which the liquid component for the gel has been replaced with a gas without significant collapse of the gel structure. The result is a solid with extremely low density and extremely low thermal conductivity. And it has diverse applications for its exceptional characteristics.
