Why is Rwanda supporting the M23 rebels fighting in DR Congo? | DW News

At least 17 people have been reported killed in the Democratic Republic of Congo as rebel forces claim to have captured the eastern city of Goma.

The M23 militia has been fighting government forces and United Nations peacekeepers. The UN is warning of a humanitarian crisis. Thousands of civilians have fled across the border into Rwanda, which is accused of backing the rebels. There are reports of troops firing at each other across the frontier. Goma is home to around two million people, including many already displaced by the conflict.

Let me cut it short for you. The DRC is a country rich in minerals, Rwanda is not. To loot minerals, Paul Kagame (Rwandan President since 2000), with the help of some outside powers, created the M23 rebels which, as you can clearly see in the ongoing war, are literally the Rwandan army RDF. to constantly bring terror, instability and crisis to the eastern region of the DRC in order to loot the minerals. This time, the war has intensified considerably because unlike previous Congolese men in power, the current power and the Congolese people have said enough and no longer want to play this Paul Kagame game. That's it. I made it understandable for a 3 year old. Do your research for the rest bcz most of imperialist media are in the game so will not tell you the truth

The GDP per capita of the DRC is $649.14, compared to Rwanda’s $1, 000.22. Despite the DRC's wealth in minerals, these resources have not significantly benefited the Congolese people. Is it because Rwanda takes them all?

The real issue in the DRC isn’t Rwanda—it’s poor governance and a tendency to embrace victimhood whenever something goes wrong( and we can see the outcome now). However, I expect all the keyboard warriors from the DRC to come after me for saying this.
