This phone is faster than my computer

I've just spent the past month with the most powerful phone in the world. This is the ASUS ROG Phone 9 Pro, and it's an absolute beast. It's faster, on paper, than the computer I'm using to edit this video on. It creams the iPhone 16 Pro Max in graphical benchmarks. And though this is a gaming phone, it comes with software that's actually optimized for a Western audience, that you can actually do regular smartphone things with as well -- *and* a camera that's surprisingly great.

So I've been using the latest flagship, ASUS ROG 9 Pro "Edition" for around a month, and in that time I've come to appreciate how this absolute unit, with its 24GB of RAM and terabyte of storage, can not just provide power on tap for demanding games -- but also pretty much *everything else* you might want out of a high-end handset.

I say it's time to stop listening to these people online when they say these phones overheat.... These people fundamentally have no idea what overheating means or even is. Just because your phone gets 1° warmer than when it was when you weren't playing the game doesn't mean the phone is overheating. This goes for all you pixel haters and now all you haters of this phone, you all are truly sad!

2 years support is major dealbreaker. Even Realme promised 3 major android update with 4 years security support with GT7 Pro. Why Asus is still living in the past?

Good choice for choosing this ROG 9 pro over other SD 8E phones I'm sure you won't regret it Mate, I also use ASUS Rog8 pro previous one but it's been a solid driver for me I'm glad i made the right choice,
if anyone don't have sufficient budget go for Redmagic 10 pro but for those who have packed wallet go for ASUS.

At more than $1000-$1500, for what they offer at the hardware and especially software level (barely 2-3 years of Android version updates) for the same price (if you're as much of a smartphone gamer as that), you can have the Redmagic from the same year, and a really good high-end smartphone dating back 1-2 years for good software / software tracking and good camera 📸

Sincerely, I really, really can't understand how and why people put money into this thing 🤷🏽‍♂️

Here's why this phone is a true red flag 🚩:

- 2 years of android update in 2024 with a snapdragon elite processor (i let you do your research on that one)
- Over heat if no external cooler installed (the cooler is to buy seperately except if you buy the pro edition which is not the pro, the pro edition is basically what they used to call the ultimate)
- not true stereo speakers (since rog phone 8)
- 1099 euros for 256go for a gaming phone
- 1199 euros for 512go
- no sd card slot
- terrible support from Asus
- no unlockable bootloader (asus promised it since the rog phone 6 and lied to all of us)
- anti consumer practice
- downgraded air triggers (since rog phone 8)
- over 120 euros for the cooler with boomer
- no quad dac on the headphone jack (rog phone 5 headphone jack was litterally better)
- probably upcoming wifi antenna problem/motherboard/dead cameras like the rog phone 5 series to 8
- asus customer center is litterally a joke to remember (if you know, you know)
- the next Zenfone will be a clone just without the air triggers and will cost 100 to 150 bucks less
- 5800mah lol (before the rog phone 8, the battery used to be 6000 mah, and now even worse because all snapdragon elite flagship will have at least 6000 mah and will go up to 7000 mah)
- OVERPRICED

As good as that phone is, I will never buy that phone for that price with 2 year of update, ok camera which should be good camera... what a shame, I will stick wth Samsung and continue with playing game on it
