A note from Nora Guthrie, Co-Producer:
Putting together this project has been a powerful time for me, challenging my memory as well as those of the performers! Fifty years is a long time to try to recollect, or recreate, yet one memory leads to another and another.

That's where we started from. Looking for clues, following the scent, we tried to dig as deep as we could to recreate and explain what I believe to be two historic events.

Even though it was a sad moment in our family with my father's passing, these first tribute concerts celebrating his life with his songs was like getting a shot of joy, waking us up to remember how much power he left behind through his songs. Like a comet passing through a dark sky, he left behind a long and brilliant tail. They're still brilliant today. And I've watched as over the years "Woody's children" have all become today's icons, the brilliant stars for their times.

For me, it's more amazing to hear these songs and these performers today, to remind us how much light brilliant songs and brilliant singers can bring to a dark sky.

It's a shame this only available by a $100 physical CD release. I'd love to be able to listen on spotify, or even pay for a digital download. Who uses CDs anymore?
