Today is the day I finally complete the 1/144 USS Monitor. This diorama is based of the most likely sinking theory, which I will cover in the uss Monitor wreck part 2 video. I also make many decisions based off of eyewitnesses to the sinking and popular statements they made. Enjoy the video.

To point out a few decisions I made with this diorama.

1. The red lantern is not included. With the disappearing of the red lantern, the Monitor was no more.

2. The waves are made to push Monitor down by the starboard stern. More details on this in my USS Monitor Wreck part 2 that I will release in a few days.

3. One of the 11 inch Dahlgrens is run out of the gun port, this is inaccurate. I did that to reference a popular photo of Monitor.

I've got models of the Monitor and Merrimack. They're part of a diorama that came with the ships and a plastic tray shaped and colored to look like the surface of water. Looks really neat!

Looking great, poor Monitor, however, this model helps keep her, and crew alive.
Take care, and all the best.

Try using high gloss gel medium for water that's moving in conjunction with tissue
