Welcome to All Aboard Boardgames!

Pat and Glai do a full playthrough of the board game Viticulture. In Viticulture we will be running a winery, and we will plant vines, harvest grapes and make wines while inviting visitors to help us at the winery and give tours to earn some extra lira. The Tuscany expansion now allows us to take actions in each of the 4 seasons, and we can build new types of structures, train special workers and place stars on a map for extra bonuses.

Hi Pat and Glai! I haven’t commented on your videos in a while but I still love watching them! Viticulture is such a charming game! I watched your playthrough of the base game as well as this Tuscany play. How do you like this expansion? Would you recommend it or do you think the base game is sufficient? I just bought Viticulture last week and I’m hoping to play soon. Thanks for your great content!

Nice, one thing, in rules there is recommended variant for 2 player game, where stars are not counted for bonus points at the end of game and I prefer this one, but it depends on you, what you like and in this game it didn´t change anything :)

I have Viticulture Essential Edition but I haven't played with the Tuscany expansion yet, idk about the stars on a map part but I saw that there are layers of the expansion you can add or leave out

I see that Tuscany has a different game board. Do you still need to have the original Viticulture game to play this game or is it a separate game entirely?

Very helpful and clear. I like the way there is no "useless" chat, as many videos have, instead you are focussed on the game and what the public want to see. Good explanations and very useful indeed. Have now subscribed, looking fwd to see what else you do. Many thanks!

Enjoying this video. I just ordered the tuscany expansion. I notice it seems to add speed as far as building your winery up and selling quicker than the base game play.
There were times one of you didn't take up the bonus feature on the board. Do you have the option to place your worker there and keep your opponent from getting a bonus there? Or were you just being friendly and no cutthroat style? The complaint I get from friends when playing this is "It's too long". It seems like this flows quicker.
Can't wait to get this expansion.

Just discovered this channel and your play throughs are really great, clear friendly and instructive. The videos look like a huge amount of effort! Anyway, I only own the base game, and knew little about Tuscany. But wow, this is like a different game. I hadn't realised how much the expansion changes the game. I like the seasons better here as its more thematic than base game. I also noticed that you used fewer visitor cards, perhaps because the board has more options. The base game encourages a focus on visitor cards.

11:50 not sure that is how the turns work. I haven’t the rules but all players must play for a particular season, then all must pass to then move to the next season. One player doesn’t play a season ahead, or behind because another person has no workers.

Pat, do you agree with Glai that the expansion reduces the effect of the randomness of the cards? That's my major complaint with the base game; it a touch too dependent on the luck of the draw.
