It may be simple, but one of the greatest songs of all time. They were wonderful, and Phil Spector was genius. I still find it thrilling today. The use of the drums and the sax is pure magic.

These gals were TALENTED! Great voices, great Phil Spector arrangement, great musicians..including the greatest drummer who ever lived, Hal Blaine.

This song came out in May, 1963.  I remember hearing it on the train to Washington DC on our 8th grade trip.  This song and Leslie Gore's "It's My Party" were the biggest hits.

If music was still like this, I wouldn’t mind.

The backing musicians were a pretty decent crew too; backing vocals by Cherilyn Sarkisian (better known to history as Cher), the legendary Steve Douglas on sax and a then-unknown guitarist named Glen Campbell.

I think this song still has one of the most exciting intros ever, brilliant it is.

I remember this coming out in 1962.  It was the first of the girl group beat era songs and was followed by Tell Him by the Exciters and Be My Baby by the Ronettes.  Both in 1963.

La La Brooks' lead vocals on this track is not to be believed. Could possibly be one of the greatest female rock voices ever -- yes, easily up there with Grace Slick, Patti Smith, Ronnie Spector & Janis Joplin. The Crystals had many hits but this song alone would place La La Brooks in that girls' club. I was 12 years old when this track came out and I got chills when I heard it. That's what a classic two-minute 45 rpm did to us. Little Eva did it again for me with "The Loco Motion."

Attended the Bootleg Beatles’ show last Sunday and this song was on their intro video. I’ve been humming to this for a while now. Can't help but to tap my feet through out the song. 🎶 I'll be listening more to The Crystals. 🎧

"That's gold. That's solid gold coming out of that speaker" -- Phil Spector to Sonny Bono after listening to the final playback of "Da Doo Ron Ron"
