I played at an NAIA school, although I miss putting the pads on (been 20 years), I’m thankful for the free education it got me. Gave me a leg up in life.

Imagine you can’t even enjoy being on the field because you hurt all the time then you have to go straight into being an adult. Got CTE, bodily trauma, & depression from failure at 18 then gotta pull yourself up. Even though all of us not going to make it pro, we at least want/wanted to have fun on the field with the guys in high school & college. When both are snatched away without a true chance to prove yourself it’s hard, especially knowing that no one else cares and you just gotta see it through.

Let me tell you boys a story :

When I was done with the game. I went into a depression. I couldn’t find my way. I couldn’t find anything like being part of a football team. Having to count on others to have your back: To work and suffer for a common goal. You don’t find bonds like that in common jobs.

Right in the midst of this difficult time, God showed me my path. 9/11 happened. Like so many young men at that time I was inspired to be part of the recovery.
I became a NYC Firefighter. It wasn’t an easy path. It took alot of patience and work.
25 years later it was the best decision I ever made. It’s the closest thing to being part of that 11 and going at it together. If you are looking for that try to find a job that you must count on others.
Firefighting was my way. I hope you all find yours!

My freshman year was amazing and I wish I could go back with everyone there and would give it my all, I pussied out so many times because I just kept thinking "I'll get hurt" and never truly went 100% and now I can't play because of circumstances with my car and money.

Everyone talks about it. They made an entire TV show about it called "Married with achildren." Its literally what people who peaked in high school always talk about HS football. 😂😂😂

What y’all didn’t work and go to school and play football. I loved playing football and other sports it got me out of work and was fun. I do like money and work experience is great for you also.
