Longchamp as a whole is underrated. This bag should be mentioned more in purse forums however idk why the girlies aren’t jumping on.

I'm french, and I've seen my mom use a Pliage as the equivalent of a tote bag since I was little, now I'm 34, I have my own chocolate brown medium one, I get why my mom uses hers so much ! It's a nice-looking, sturdy and functional bag, as a travel carry-on, everyday, or shopping bag, and as you said the fact that it zips close makes it safer too !

Got my first Le Pliage Tote bag when I was at University in 1983…. And still always have one or two in my closet /collection still to this day. A great bag that has a solid history. And workmanship that outdoes most brands!!! They also have a repair or replace guarantee!!! Win-win!!
And just FYI should your corners wear through Longchamp will repair it (no matter how old the piece is) at no cost to you one time!

I have both a Neverfull and a Le Pliage, I travel more with my Longchamp and use the Neverfull organizer in my Longchamp and it is life changing what I can fit in there. I have had two Longchamp for over 10 years and despite all of the travels, seasons, spills, it still looks fabulous! True luxury:)

My love for Longchamp is eternal! It’s versatile, low maintenance and VERY durable! It’s my favorite overnight travel and shopping bag. I literally put anything in it when I go to the supermarket (including fresh produce and seafood). I have 2 specific ones for grocery and farmers market shopping. Best value for money!

I love Longchamp! I have their Le Pliage, backpack, travel bag and shoulder bag. The quality is superb and affordable. My Le Pliage is almost 20 yrs old and it still looks brand new except for the corners lolz

I have 3 in my collection and no kidding I've replaced nearly all other bags because it is really a workhorse and I love it. I have even washed it the machine on gentle cycle in a laundry mesh bag. Came out perfect. Honestly spot clean and go. ❤

I was gifted this bag by my son about 8 years ago! Was for a girlfriend of his, but relationship didn't last! Her loss..my gain!! All true regarding this bag. Still using today & love how it folds away. Happy Days❤

I got the expandable travel bag.
I would prefer to minimize the strap further than possible.
I would prefer longer leather handles.

Other than that: I love it! Best weekender bag ever. I travel zipped up and when I shop a lot i size up. Brilliant.

If you live in NYC, this bag has been part of the NY uniform for women. We have known of its value for decades. Very durable.

In high school we used these as backpacks. Lasted me all the way through college too. I still have it, I just don’t use it anymore because it seems a bit dated. But the only wear you see are a few holes in the corners and dirt. And this is from carrying textbooks in it every day + travel. I was thinking recently it would be nice to get some new ones, bring the trend back. They’re just so high quality and look decent—an elevated version of a tote bag. Would highly recommend!

Le pliage is the only work bag that works for me. I have a few nylons, but my fave is a coated canvas which is more structured. Perfect for my laptop. Only bag that fits everything.

When it became common here in the Philippines in the 2000's, I thought it was overrated. When I got a hand me down and used it for travel, that's when it clicked -- it was so lightweight yet so durable... plus the zip and flap for double security. I'm now a fan, I don't care anymore if I look basic. 😂 Unfortunately, these are hard to find in preowned as there are soooo many fakes. I've just ordered a preowned Le Pliage backpack and I really really hope I got a legit one.

Totally agree with your overview of Longchamp. I don't "believe in" spending thousands for "luxury" brands, Longchamp is my go-to for purses, bags, scarves, and accessories like bag charms. 

I recently bought the Energie Camera Bag (men's collection) in France. I put it in a tote with a soft drink bottle that leaked, to take it back to my hotel. Everything else in the tote was damaged, but NOT the Longchamp bag. I just wiped it off with a damp paper towel and it's good as new. It's perfect for travel, holds my iPhone and iPad mini, AND the zipper can be locked using the strap clasp - perfect.

Longchamp has an outlet just outside Paris and several in the U.S., also one at Bicester Village. I shop the outlets whenever possible for last-season good buys.

I had one, sold it, and now I reentering the workforce and looking to purchase the black one. I originally wanted the Neverfull but the price tag is too much for a Canvas bag. Your video solidifies why I need to get the Longchamp again.
