I hope Luigi gets another formula of games someday.
He basically is Nintendo’s horror guy so there are many options

Fun Fact: There's a dodge button in the game when sucking up ghost's, just press B!
Miyamoto himself once said it's NECESSARY to use, it makes the fight with the sisters absolute CAKE!

I think that for the giant knight boss battle. It was the highlight of almost all the bosses in the game, just for the cutscene alone where luigi is looking out in the distance like. "please no, haven't I suffered enough?"

There's nothing wrong with Ai Art, whats Wrong is Having it and saying you made it, so the fact that you didn't do that, i respect you

Someone in a room of people probably in suits was like “hey lets make luigi fight stairs”

I wish there's a very challenging boss battle. Like he can possessed the disco ball, or a vehicle, or maybe bring a spartan or amazon warriors, or maybe bring a other dimensional ghost design.

Personally, i would have changed the clock boss to be something more akin to a puzzle involving the hands. Like, when the clock rewinds it twists the room with all sorts of stuff falling or being added. And your goal was to stall out whatever threats appear as you use the vacuum to rewind the clock.

As an example, while going from one to two o clock sand tornados and tumbleweeds will sweep across the arena, pushing you away from the clock. And as two goes to three debree will begin reminding to strke you.

The haunted clocktower gives me huge Epic Mickey vibes.

I had this idea for a similar Venus flytrap boss but instead it’s like the piranha plant fight in Mario Party DS where you use the balloons to hover over a giant one and drop spiky pods into its mouth

I also think that if you had to fight the stairs, it would’ve been a more interesting concept if you fought the stairs you had to climb before the fight. Like you get to the top and get sent down again and you realize it’s all been a massive troll and then you can take revenge

Fun fact: you kinda forgot to talk about one poltergeist, it’s name is « the brain » and it’s the boss of the scarecrapper (like boolossus in mansion 3)

On the subject of Poltergeists and Possessors: I would demote Poltergeists from minibosses to common ghosts, having them throw things at you in whatever room they were, particularly the more spacious or clutter-filled ones; some of the ideas behind the Possessors would be either common encounters too (kinda like the chests and bins possessed by red spirit balls in LM3) or minibosses, I think the Stairs boss would've served as a fine miniboss, maybe it could last less time too.

Other than that, I would have the minibosses and bosses be Major ("Portrait") Ghosts, as in ghosts of defined people, of which the Three Sisters are meant to be an example. Regarding them, I think it'd be interesting if they had you use the reflected light from flashing their mirrors to stun one of the sisters behind you - because if you turn to her, she'll just cover her face immediately. The rest of the battle js fine, you just need to make more use of the dodge (which should be explained to you).

Heck, I'd go as far as making some of the ghosts that steal away the keys of gates into unique Major Ghosts too! For instance, the five Hiders that steal the pinwheel arms, I'd make them a set of five prankish siblings or so. The Strong Sneaker that steals the valve could've been a disgruntled foreman of the factory. The Greenie, Slammer and Slobber that chain up the gondola's door I think, they could've been literal chained up prisoners, that sorta thing.

I like your other ideas for the minibosses! For the Old Clockworks one, I also had the idea of fighting a pharaoh of sorts, or a mummified egyptian sorcerer, something like that.

Regarding the actual bosses, I wouldn't even change the spider one, it's a pretty good first boss. More battles that are puzzle-like and test your knowledge of things you've been doing throughout the mansion are a good way of doing it for me. If it were a Major Ghost, I'd probably make him the manor's butler, a classic idea for a classic-styled mansion.

For the second boss, it's pretty much your idea, but instead of a giant flytrap, it was a giant pumpkin monsters. Besides that, it'd be pretty much the same idea, just with more mouths to shoot, maybe some beanstalks to water to get to higher platforms. Honestly, both would work, yours is probably more thematically fitting, mine went for a more "horrific monster caused by possession of a mundane thing" kinda vibe, with the overgrown pumpkin just being a regular pumpkin at first. And for this one's Major Ghost, it has to be the gardener that's mentioned to have a lab.

The third boss always struck me as odd. While it's really cool that we walk on the clock's face itself, why would the clock face be on the belfry's floor? Like, who's gonna see it from the ground like that? Your idea of the scaffolding to walk around it would be cool, maybe even have some paranormal gravity malarkey to pull us to its face and walk on it during one of the phases. For the Major Ghost, probably a "cuckoo" clockmaker.

I like your idea for the fourth boss, I was honestly at a loss there; for the Boolossus fight, I'd honestly just give him the dark eyes look of the original, and I like your idea for the Knightmare boss, it's just a lot cooler and longer segment, the last phase desperately needed to be longer.

The mission structure isn’t as bad as I thought it would be, to be honest I think it is over hated

I definitely agree with all of your picks except for the Poltergeists. While I understand your thoughts that it's "always the same", the only one of them I'd really change and replace with a completely new ghost is the second one. For the first one, it's basically your first encounter ever with this ghost, so your reasoning "this should've been a portrait ghost" doesn't really make sense for this one as like I said, first encounter with this ghost anyways. I totally agree with you on the second one, he definitely should've been a different ghost. Now for the third one, I have to say while I agree the attacks should've been different, the ghost shouldn't have. The main ghosts of the treacherous mansion ARE the strong ghosts as they're basically the only ghosts you'll see in this mansion (with the only exception being some normal Slammers here and there). So imo it makes perfect sense for the midboss to kinda "reflect" that by being a Ghost we've seen before, but reflecting the looks of the main ghosts of the mansion

I think the clock tower would work really well with Luigi's Mansion 3, where you can slam the ghosts into parts of the clock tower to break them. And that way you can hold on to the old boss fight and spice it up with something new

I would've liked it if the Harsh Possessor possessed the treehouse. Because as it stands, that treehouse is just a background element.

An really good Boss fight is if you make the final boss summon previous bosses to aid them!
