Can we give her an award? After all the cases of school shooters we've heard, we've seen how the parents knew something was up and didn't do enough or anything at all. This woman made a difficult decision and potentially saved many many lives and prevented another massacre. She needs to be honored by the country.

As a very private teenager who has admittedly gotten into spats with their parents over “being in my business”, watching this woman speak brings an entirely new perspective to light for me. Mad respect, Mrs. Schubert. We need more parents like you in the world.

This woman is a hero and an inspiration to all parents. I'm 25 years old now and I remember being so annoyed when my mother and father went through my things when I was a teenager but now I understand that they meant well. Back then I was in a really dark mental state and they just wanted to make sure I was safe.
