Instead of buying another clip, couldn't you just use the other clip in the door, that is used if you switch the door around

So, my dryer strike is misaligned with the latch and it pushes the latch into the door, damaging the latch. We've gone through 2 latches this way... Would I have to get a whole new door to fix the problem? Thanks!

Why not just have both top and bottom with latches, then you would avoid all the hassle of taking door apart...come on GE your better than this...
