Though some of us think being in the wild world be better and Yes it would but No it won't but if he's going to be in captivity the Zoo is better then being poached and sold to a rich person only to be abused his whole life. If anyone is curious, little Kaius comes from a great gorilla dynasty/lineage. His great grandfather, Bongo, sired so many amazing gorillas through his grandmother, Kriba. His aunt G'yasi. His great uncles, Shabani and Haoko. So many others. And thanfully, that lineage lives on because of the great work by Chad and the other zoo staff that fought hard to keep littke Kaius here with us today.

Chad took care of that baby more than anyone else. He even took him home at night and bottle fed him throughout the night just like we do with human babies. We're very similar.

Aww he looks like a little Troll doll as a newborn. 😍 The zookeeper is so lucky he got to help raise that baby. Kaius is the most muscular stocky gorilla baby I have ever seen! I can tell that he is going to be a huge silverback. ❤

“Little Kaius became sick with sepsis pneumonia when he was born and his mother was not able to care for him because of her own medical complications. Kaius has since moved in with his Aunty G-Anne and lives with her full time.”
Apparently they did try to return Kaius back to his mother and grandmother who took no interest in him, even stepping over him to get to food. So it sounds like the mother lived, just rejected her baby. So they felt it safer to introduce him to an unrelated gorilla female who did take to him.
