You are remarkable. Time after time, you have managed through an unprecedented time, always following your compass, the one which consistently puts others before self. In the last year, you have seen 976,390 patients walk through our doors, all of whom needed you. You have brought 2,123 children into the world and educated 671 members of the next generation of medical leaders.

The 458,099,000 meals that have been served, the 8,592 COVID tests, and 95,174 vaccinations you have administered could not have happened without your dedication. In floors alone, you have cleaned and disinfected 7 million square feet on a daily basis. You have taken 1,433,249 images and performed 35,459 surgeries. $235 million in research grants prove that where others see no solution, you see possibility.

When the world sows division, you sow the seeds of kindness, inclusion, and healing. Yes, you are remarkable. And you deliver on the mission of UVA Health every day. You, all of you, are the ones who are truly transforming health and inspiring hope for all Virginians and beyond.
