I loved hearing Bill Burr talk about the “guy who talks with his hands and yells about cars, tells people what to avoid” and I knew exactly who it was lol

One of the problems with gas mileage if you live in a metro area is we spend a third of our driving time sitting at a red light. The engine is running and not going anywhere. Uses gas while sitting.

My old dad, a master mechanic, said this about cars in the 1990 s. He said if engineers had to fix cars, they would design them very differently..so u could fix things that had to be fixed more often, like water pumps, ac equipment, timing belts, fuel pumps, etc.

The more I watch Scotty the more I'm convinced that 15 years ago I made the best decision buying a 2008 Toyota Highlander. Still running strong @ 243, 000 miles.

I was in the parts business for years and we kept Chevy door handles in all the different interior colors in stock. There was rarely a day go by when we didn't sell one. Only the "highest quality" from GM.

Happy 2018 Tundra owner. V8, 6A transmission, and bulletproof. I just don't trust turbos - not even from Toyota. I'll pay for more gasoline and keep it forever. 5 1/2 years old and it is flawless. So much power. 12-13mpg city and 17-18 highway. That's fine to me. And my favorite thing is the whole rear window rolls down. In SW Florida I use that every day. Beautiful truck.

With all of the arm movements, Scotty would make a phenomenal orchestra conductor.

The old Chevy trucks were glorious. Uncle had a 1970, 4WD, 350, ran it for 397, 000, gave it away, had a snow plow mounted on it in PA during snow season.

My 2016 5.0 F-150 has 183, 000 miles and still runs like a clock and cold AC. The Ford V8 is worth its weight in gold!😍 AND I should mention it gets 18-23 MPG!

07 V8 tundra, 385000 km. Love it. Sure I’ve had to replace some parts. Brake rotors, exhaust, shocks, and I had new leaf springs made for it with an extra leaf for better towing. Overall a great truck. I plan to run it as long as I can.

I had a 1993 Chevy Silverado 1500, 6 cylinder. Bought it used in 1995. Drove it until August, 2018. Paid 0nly 4, 500.00 for it. Never had any major engine problems with it, just normal repairs throughout the years. Guess I lucked out on that one. Gas mileage was great also. ⛽

I got a 2013 1500 WT Silverado and I have 206, 000 miles. Everything in my truck is manually operated. Manual door locks. Manual windows. Manually adjusted seats. Naturally aspirated 4.3 liter V6 that has gotten up to 24 mpg. Rear wheel drive with a posi-lock diff. I plowed through 22 inches of "Lake Effect" snow with it. Perfect daily commuter truck. No problems yet.

The evaporator in my 2000 Chevy Express still holds freon perfectly after 23 years. So moral to the story: New =junk, high maintenance & very expensive repair.

The old square body trucks lasted forever the new ones totally suck. I still drive a 74 Chevy stepside short box. 350 motor well maintained 800, 000 miles still going strong

Chevrolet tech here, on those 2015 that front hvac condenser were common to leak on their lines. If you are facing the truck inside the grill you can see on the right side of the condenser line it was known to have small cracks on the welds of the line. An yes 15 hour job for removing the evaporator but weren't common to have leaks, had replaced more evaporator cores in Cadillacs Ats more than silverado. Is as if GM was doing it on purpose with cadillac so customers will spend a ton of money to get their cars repair.
