A pomelo and a grapefruit are two different things. A pomelo is one of the 5 primary ancestral citrus fruits (the others being the citron, mandarin, kumquat and papeda). A grapefruit is a hybrid of the pomelo and the sweet orange (which is, itself, a hybrid of the pomelo and the mandarin).
