Vince Russo is and was an extremely creative booker. The issue is he needs a filter, in WWF/ WWE it was Vince, he could filter the ideas that were too far out there and let the better ones through. Obviously not all of the bad ideas were caught but it was far more successful than it was destructive. In other places the filter wasn't present and so we ended up with matches like axe handle on a pole matches. But Russo gave almost everyone on the roster a story and something to do creating a show for almost everyone. Whereas with modern WWE there are about 5 stars and a rotation of around 20 wrestlers getting TV time but not really doing anything. Everyone else is just there to lose matches. Most don't even have stories, just someone walking out to demand a title shot. Its a shame.

Sooo, when JR asked Russo how he responds to accusations that he killed Owen…he should just admit that he did, because he literally admitted to being the asshole who wrote the rappelling spot for Owen into the PPV where it had not previously existed.
