Buddha Avatar - Ninth Avatar Of Vishnu | Dashavatar

Born as Siddhārtha Gautama, Buddha is regarded as the founder of Buddhism, and revered by most as a savior or the Enlightened One who rediscovered an ancient path to escape the cycle of birth and rebirth and attain Nirvana. He was born in northern India near the town of Kapilavastu to a ruler of the Indian tribe of Shakyas. His mother died seven days after giving birth to him. It is said that twelve years before his birth the brahmins prophesied that he would become either a universal monarch or a great sage. To prevent him from becoming an ascetic, his father kept him within the confines of the palace. Gautama grew up in princely luxury, shielded from the outside world, entertained by dancing girls, instructed by brahmins, and trained in archery, swordsmanship, wrestling, swimming, and running. When he came of age he married Gopa, who gave birth to a son. He had everything, and yet, it was not enough. Once in the streets of Kapilavastu, he encountered three simple things: a sick man, an old man, and a corpse being carried to the burning grounds. Nothing in his life of ease had prepared him for this experience. When his charioteer told him that all beings are subject to sickness, old age, and death, he could not rest.

As he returned to the palace, he passed a wandering ascetic walking peacefully along the road, wearing the robe and carrying the single bowl of a sadhu. He then resolved to leave the palace in search of the answer to the problem of suffering. After bidding his wife and child a silent farewell without waking them, he rode to the edge of the forest. There, he cut his long hair with his sword and exchanged his fine clothes for the simple robes of an ascetic.

For six years Siddhartha along with five companions practiced austerities and concentration. He drove himself mercilessly, eating only a single grain of rice a day, pitting mind against body. His ribs stuck through his wasted flesh and he seemed more dead than alive.

He sat, having listened to all the teachers, studied all the sacred texts and tried all the methods. Now there was nothing to rely on, no one to turn to, nowhere to go. He sat solid and unmoving and determined as a mountain, until finally, after six days, his eye opened on the rising morning star, so it is said, and he had his realization and found what he was looking for. Therefore there was nothing to attain, and no longer any struggle to attain it.

For the next forty-nine years Buddha walked through the villages and towns of India, speaking in the vernacular, using common figures of speech that everyone could understand. He taught a villager to practice mindfulness while drawing water from a well, and when a distraught mother asked him to heal the dead child she carried in her arms, he did not perform a miracle, but instead instructed her to bring him a mustard seed from a house where no one had ever died. She returned from her search without the seed, but with the knowledge that death is universal.

I was born in patna, Bihar. And when i went to visit Gaya, Bihar, i felt like i was in heaven. But seeing the remains of Nalanda Vishwavidyalaya (which Khilji burned down) it broke my heart.
Good to know that now they are building a new bigger one

Nope, even as a student of Buddhism, nope.
1. Sakyamuni Buddha didn't create Buddhism. There have been more Buddhas or enlightened being for many yugas before him. He does Not OWN the Dharma.
2. He said he wasn't God or Avatar.
3. He wasn't an atheist. He achieved enlightenment and salvation or Nirvana. He said that ritualistic worship was distracting people from morality

There is no reference or proof to prove that bhuddha is an avatar of lord vishnu.Lord krishna himself said his next avatar will be kalki. If that so this will contradict to the teachings of great lord krishna teachings of bhuddha is different. You are just a hindu version of that Zakir Naik . Like him you are spreading false information . You don't have any knowledge of Hinduism. According to Purans Vishnu took Avatar of Maya-moh in Kikat (Gaya) to deluded the asuras . All the Purans were written almost 6 hundred years after the Buddha.
Before posting anything you must have a historical perspective.

As a Buddhist person ( theravadi buddhist living in 🇱🇰)
Buddha never told to follow any god because buddhist mainly believe in improving foing good karma and to train our minds to give up desires to reach the path of nirvana
Whereas the other vishnu avatars have always been connected with god.

I found many videos saying he is the ninth avatar only in indian videos and always used to think why haven't i know then why didn't us buddhist know about this

I saw many people only on india saying this

Buddha attained nirvana that means he cannot have a birth again
But vishnu can as Avatars because he is a god

Gautama Buddha said in the the Jataka Tales in Buddhism, that he was Lord Rama in a previous lifetime. For the people saying he is not an avatar, how do you explain that?

The Buddhist don't believe that he's an avatar of Vishnu and they treat him as a complete different entity from Hinduism

Buddhists traditionally do not accept the Buddha to be a Vishnu avatar. ... Some contemporary Hindus also reject the identification of Gautama Buddha as an avatar of Vishnu, referring to the texts of the Puranas.

Buddha was born in Nepal. Kapilbastu is in Nepal not in northern India. 🙏

Would have been even better and precise if the term "currently Nepal" was used after the birthplace of Buddha was told.

A little disclaimer from a Buddhist:
Hay hindu saga, your content are good and knowledgeable. But i think you haven't gone through the other side of load Buddha story. In Nalanda university of old century, they haven't said that Buddha was a reincarnation of Lord Vishnu. If so, they had written it in scriptures, but neither the teaching nor the scripture have any words on it. What I means is that you are telling a story of hindu scriptures.
Hoping for part 2 with correction 😀😀😀

Gautam Buddha is not the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. There are many differences on believes of Hinduism & Buddhism. In Gita, Lord Krishna(Narayan) told Arjun(Nar) that he was the supreme ruler of all the three lokas (Heven, Earth & Hell). But Buddhism Lord Buddha founded Nirvana ( a state free from birth & death)

We accept fact that Buddha is 9th aavatar of Lord Vishnu and matter of fact Buddha was born in Kapilvastu which in now situated in Nepal. Please i request THE HINDU SAGA channel to amend the mistake and re upload.

An informative channel like this should put their facts to check. Buddha wasn't born in northern India but attained enlightment during his meditation in India. Buddha was born in Kapilvastu, Nepal to Nepali tribe of Shakyas. Not every significant acts of Hinduism and Buddhism happened in India just like how not every significant scientific discoveries are from the States. It is really impressive content to boost and promote our religion and keep it intact but do not do this petty act of making it about India and not hinduism.
