The ENO Helios is a product I found browsing at REI one day. And after checking it out, seemed like an excellent addition to any hammock kit when you are trying to be as minimalist as possible.

I got the Helios this summer, pretty impressed. I do have other woopie slings and rope set-ups that I like to use..but for lightweight packing, I feel like this product is too simple not to use

That is a mic system, dutchware makes a titanium clip that you attach to the loop to make setup even fast and you can have that system already installed in your hammock all together and then literally just clip it on to the trees. Very nice product I think I'm gonna order one of these for one of my hammocks. Great video Chris

I've got a similar system bought whoopie slings for £8 and used seatbelts for the tree huggers, it takes a wee bit time to make but alot cheaper

That looks like a really nice compact lightweight system that makes setting up a breeze. I Think I need those..

Nice that they are light. I have been using the python straps and they are awesome but weigh 12ounces. Thanks for sharing !

Nice video Chris! I have never seen the whoopie slings on the strap. Not a bad idea!

hey chris... not to be a what if ninja... but I am a rigger I deal with nylon straps chain and wire ropes all day... if you do what we call a choke around a tree like that the lifting capacity of each strap is reduced by 20%... not that big of a deal I just thought I would share... keep up the good work love the vids

PM101 have you heard of Tentsile Tree Tent they seem pretty interesting. Not so cheep though. Whats your thoughts maybe see an review sometime in future? Also i never really used hammocks they dont really seem safe considering that trees get hit by lightning, seems a lot safer having a tent on a ground.

...I do have to say, that for the price, I do wonder how durable the light weight straps will be. I spoke to a guy that claims he has them on several extended backpacking trips. He loves them. But as much as I love the Helios, I still opt for rope. Then if I need use of a rope for something, I have it

dang just bought the Atlas strap set last week.

I'm definitely getting these, the atlas straps were almost the size of the hammock.

those straps alone are the same size as my hammock and suspension system! 34 dollars too, that's half way to buying yourself a DD superlight hammock, whoopee slings and tree huggers.

@PREPAREDMIND1016 Request: I know you've been focusing on bushcraft and outdoor survival but as a preparation site could you test, review and suggest power sources for blackouts? Specifically power sources which provide AC power that run on stored power or solar panels. The Duracell Powerpack Pro 300 for example.

YOU DID NOT JUST GET IN THAT HAMMOCK WITH THAT KNIFE ON YOUR SIDE! I was out with a friend he did that and ripped a hole in his hammock.
