I definitely want to read Starfish sometime soon! My husband and I normally listen to audiobooks when we go to bed. Its one of my favorite things we do together. He can stay awake a lot longer then me, so he fills me in on what I missed in the morning😆

Wow awesome haul! I love me some DBZ I used to watch the cartoon religiously! Trunks was my homeboy- I had a trunks shirt and a trunks clock and posters on my room, friends and I would even play the card game too. Good stuff

Velocity Weapon, The Last Astronaut, and Salvaged are ones I've been wanting to read! The Rage of Dragons is one that I'm a bit undecided on - I think I'll check out your review for it!


Old Man's War was super enjoyable! I've only read the first two books in that series, but I should really pick up the rest of them. Haha I'm definitely one of those people who didn't love Prince of Thorns. I'm curious if I'd like the other series set in the same world. Ooh, you're in for a treat with The Stormlight Archive! That's definitely my favorite series of his. Even though they're chunky books, I don't remember ever being bored while reading them.

Wow, I love how similar our reading tastes are! I recently downloaded samples of Velocity Weapon and The Last Astronaut, and was intrigued enough to continue with both. I can’t wait to read Rage of Dragons! And I’m also intimidated by Eye of the World. You have such a great selection of books here, I just want to comment on every book 😂

Great video! So many incredible books! I also am so interested in The Wheel Of Time series after hearing Jason talk about it. But it’s like 15 books or something right? One huge reason I have not dived in and bought the first books! Hahaha

I want to read some Brandon Sanderson so bad as well but again I just can’t bring myself to commute to his large beasts of books and or series! Haha. One day! One day I will!

So many of these sci-fi books sound so interesting to me. Velocity Weapon sounds really cool. I have a co-worker that's read the entire Wheel of Time series multiple times which just blows my mind. I don't know if I'll ever attempt to read that.

I've been considering giving Prince of Thorns a try. I'm always iffy with grimdark and doubly iffy when I hear it contains male on female rape for "the sake of realism." I'm reading Red Sister and really enjoying it right now, though. Seems like Lawrence knows how to write diverse and believable females, so I kinda want to give it a shot... If only I could figure out how to get my library to order books.


Edit: DBZ is some bonding time for my husband and I as well. He's partial to Vegeta. I'm a fan of #1 dad Piccolo myself. My husband isn't much of a reader. The idea of getting a box set of a manga to buddy read with him is intriguing!

I think you might enjoy The Sundering duology by Jacqueline Carey if you're on a fantasy bender.
It's LOTR but from the POV of the bad guys. It's a bleak and frustrating read, but in a very good way :)
