What a friend we have in Jesus. If I close my eyes, I can hear the melody of this hymn in my head. And while the lyrics ring true, there are times that I have to remind myself that Jesus is indeed my friend.

I was reminded of this when I sat down with Faith Eury Cho, an international speaker, pastor, author, and mom of four. Her new book, “Experiencing Friendship with God,” is a necessary resource for establishing intimacy with God.

Something transformational will happen when you let down your guard and let go of coming to God as a perfect person. Through a deeper connection with God, you will end up where He wants you to be.

This is some heavily anointed truth! By the 15-minute mark, I had already stopped the video about 4 times to recompose myself or reflect. Most important for me is that statement, "In our busy seasons we always feel as if we're carrying this debt of intimacy that we owe to God, when Jesus already closed that chasm"!!!
