This is by far one of the best tutorials I've seen. I especially liked you taking a pause *before* doing something (for example, paint marks) to provide extra context. Well done!

Someone directed me to your channel from mine as I have avoided this job for years. Great guide, I feel confident now to do it and save myself money each time.

Great guide. I am a qualified mechanic but haven't done a Fiat before, so tuned in to see what type of tensioner it had and what tools are required. Very well explained and lots of useful tips.

I don't think i would have managed the job without you. It was almost like having an expert at my shoulder walking me through it step by step. So detailed and doesn't miss anything important.

Thanks for the video. Done plenty of cambelts before but not on this engine so it's always worth watching someone else doing it first. I've got the full locking kit and was considering locking the camshaft as per the instructions. My assumption is that they lock the opposite site of the camshaft in case you have to change the pulley as well, but it seems such a fiddle to remove the cam cover and all the other kit connected to it, so I'm tempted to use marks as you have done on my Doblo providing, of course, whoever did it last time did it properly. It runs OK so I'm assuming so. Thanks again for taking the trouble to record the process: certainly the best video of this process I've seen!

Just bought a 2014 Ka. It has only done 25k miles but has been hardly used or MOTd since 2017 so a cambelt/waterpump change is probably a good idea-I have a Haynes manual but your video has emboldened me to do it! Thankyou.

What an excellent informative video with no detail missed unlike 95% of youtube videos thanks very much

This was very helpful, although our 500 has air conditioning which means there is a extra tensioner the information was spot on and worked a treat, thanks for the help.

I'm a bit late to this video but this is just what I needed! I have a 2014 Ford Ka which obviously has the same engine which I need to change the head gasket on. This goes a long way to getting me there. I'm not a mechanic but have a healthy interest in mechanics. I'm a construction site manager so I'm used to being methodical and structured. Many thanks for this! Gaz.

Thanks! VERY IMPORTANT: when tightening the water pump tensioner turn it counterclockwise (push down) so the oval part moves down and to the right. The first time I did this I turned it with the little 2 prong tool clockwise (pulled up) and then the mount would not fit. lol. ALSO, as per an earlier comment the mount to the engine, on a North America 1.4 non turbo should NOT be your torque specs. It’s an aluminum block so 55NM is WAY too much. Everything else was awesome. Mine has AC so it had an auto tensioner on accessory belt. I also removed air box on top so you can Jack it higher but AC lines do limit full up travel so be careful when you jack. Thanks 🙏 very helpful.

I have to agree, the best video I've seen on car maintenance. I printed the text which became a useful guide (for those of us more use to paper) and allowed highlighting important info and adding some notes. The job went well so many thanks.

Awesome matey, I bought my daughter a ford Ka, same engine.
Only had it four days, dealer said they changed timing belt and I'm suspecting he has done it your way. Don't know about the water pump though. Found a leak on thermostat housing so I'm going back with it
First class job and video helped loads

Saved me £400 there. Nice that a timing belt is actually accessible for once. Will get it done this weekend. Thanks
