I have been playing FM19 for a long while and I have gone back and tried the earlier FMs while I waited for FM20 to sort itself out. For all that time I was extremely frustrated with the FM19 engine due to the pausing before crossing and terrible attacking movement issues but I stuck with it because I got so deep into my Gillingham save. I clung to the belief that it was my tactics, but now I've now gone back to FM18 and though I played the latest FM20 (Feb 2020), wow I was so wrong. The engine on 18 is brilliant and a joy to behold.

I now feel like 18 is the most polished version so far, and my knowledge of 2020 football is really helping me in the transfer market and shortlisting. Haaland is available for pennies! Cool intro song too.

Excellent content as always my friend. I have played just one save since beta and am 8 years in with my beloved Leeds United. I was wondering if match engine improvements have impacted wingers (shooting into side netting from stupid positions instead of squaring the ball)? I really hope so, so I can use wingers again instead of re-training wonderkid wingers into ST or ACM.

Been watching SecondYellowCard this year. He looks totally frustrated with FM20. It's been very counter-intuitive and 1-on-1's have been rediculous. Hopefully some of this has been fixed now.

Hello, can you help me i play 4231 deep and half back(ben godfrey, mctominay)/segundo volante support(pogba, romario baro) with trequasista(dani olmo) and i just cant make it work with possession.. i have wbs on support with wb on volante side on sit narrow to help HB.. Unless i play with high press like press intesity much higher .. with high defensive line/higher loe it just crumbles.. and i somewhat want to use space with lower loe and split press..but it doesnt work

How would you rank the importance of the different elements like morale, tactics, cohesion, etc. To me it seems like morale is so important this year and without that my team just won't perform no matter how good the tactic or how much cohesion there is.

This match engine is so poor. I find matches incredibly boring to watch. Number 10s might aswell be ghosts I never see them in a highlight. Never dribble past anyone. No through balls. All goals are first time volley worldys. Yet they can't score 1 on 1s
I'm not asking for fifa type graphics but being 2020 I'm really expecting more than just basic dots now. I remember 2012 and lovely graphics for 2d. This has gone backwards.
I can't watch 3d as it's so cringing to watch. I hsve to keep it 2d as I prefer filling in the blanks in my head

4231 is the best imo. 86 goal striker from 58 games (Halland in 24/25)

The engine is just broke Why is only there gk good .Why in every they can shoot once and score yet i can have 40 shots and struggle to score i understand from time to time that can happen .Not every game .Hit the bar 3 times a game Other team does not.Corner highlights just 20 secs off you life you can never get back.Funny thing is i am not saying that ovber the season the results are wrong, Just how they come about, And wingbacks never cross .Mistake only happen to you.And some dude never scores for the other team until they play you.There gk 7.5 your gk 6.7 so many thing wrong

Stopped buying fm 3 years ago as sick of 3d match engine...2020 looks even worse..it looks 15 years old..unrealistic and no emotion whatsoever to suck u in. I will never buy fm again when every year they just release the same dressed up rubbish. Even minecraft eith raytracing ang hi res graphics way ahead of this made in someones basement 1999 sensible soccer engine.
