About Young Sheldon:
It’s 1989 and 9-year-old Sheldon Cooper has skipped four grades to start high school along with his less-intellectual older brother. As he struggles to be understood by his family, classmates and neighbors, his mother arms him with the best tool she can come up with: reminding bullies his dad is the football coach and his brother is on the team. His twin sister doesn’t share his exceptional mind, but she has a much clearer vision of what life has in store for the young genius.

Sheldon only respects others when he's bound by law to do so😂.

If I saw this before anything I have never begun to like the show.
It dumbfounds me to see Sheldon lacks all human compassion and totally self absorbed, to boot 😫
I know he cannot help it, but it still slays me!

…I can see both sides of the story. While Missy definitely doesn’t have the right to lock Sheldon out of their room, she is rather upset and that can mess with the head. Sheldon, on the other hand, doesn’t take into account other people’s feelings which is definitely something he should work on. So they’re both flawed human beings, and children. No one is really to blame here.

You know its werid Sheldon only acts like he is in the orignal show when the plot of an episode requires it

When I put a sign on my door my sister runs to my door and rips it in half even though she has her own room

He is honestly right...its not his problem she has boy problems its also his room...and the dad was quite unfair about it...and later it led to the sister crossing a line, breaking something of his when he entered their shared room

Young Sheldon reminds me so much of my daughter when she was that that character's age. She wasn't as obnoxious, but she could be and her teachers and whole school loved her. I should everyone in the small town where we lived absolutely adored her and some people were shocked that I would be talking to a child like an adult until they heard my daughter talk. My parents use to tell her that I was very smart too, but I used my brain to get into trouble and to get out of trouble. LOL My daughter was and will always be super conservative and I was and will always be a free spirit. The cutest thing was when my daughter told me that I was a difficult Mommie to raise. LOL My daughter never had a sense of humor, but what made her so cute was that she'd try to get people to laugh, and she'd come in upset if nobody laughed and would ask me how I made people laugh because people thought that I funny. I would tell her to not try and copy me, to just be herself, and hold her. The day she did make someone laugh she was about 8 or 9 and she got in my car clapping and saying " Momma I'm like you! I made someone laugh!" We hugged and I treated her to her favorite ice cream parlor. When the person that she made laugh and I talked they told me that they laughed because she was so serious and I told them that was 90 in a child's body. So children like Sheldon are normal for me because my Momma was very smart and skipped a grade in school, but she also had a sense of humor. My daughter was like Sheldon and didn't see why some things were funny, but I wouldn't change her for the world because she's also a great Momma to my granddaughters. She even approached her pregnancy from an intellectual point of view. LOL

To be fair, the Sheldon gets better in the later seasons.

It amazes me how TBBT can be such an awfully unfunny show, but Young Sheldon be actually pretty great

People are acting like Sheldon is being unreasonable, but it’s still his room, and it has all of his shit in it. And I guarantee that if Sheldon was having an “emotional moment“ and put up a do not enter sign, people would be acting like he was being whiny

Hey, if WE own something together. Your "emotional problems" can Eff off. I'm coming in. Not even a "please let me have it for today, " a sign.

I tend to ignore people's emotions myself. Sheldon is doing it because he doesn't understand emotions all that well.
I do it just be a jerk.😂
