In the UK, these are the true EVs we need, cheap, small, city cars, what the point of a Tesla if you cannot afford one, simple A to B transport is needed, a box on wheels for the every day man.

I love these little things and wish they would bring them to Europe/UK as this is what most people want from a car, simple, does the job and no unnecessary gadgets which is just more bulk to carry around and more points of failure.
The fact the car has a real handbrake, two doors and a proper key is a big plus, cheap and has a decent range.
Sadly the 63mph top speed and using a gear selector knob rather than a normal gear leaver lets it down.
Most people don't want to drive around inside a laptop and the this car with it's more basic controls is just what people want.

I don’t know why people refer to the Wurling Honguang Minni Van as a toy car or a golf cart. It’s bigger than some of the small cars driven during 1950 and 1960, and these small cars sold by the thousands. One example is the BMW Isetta. This small vehicle would fit inside the Honguang Minni Van with room to spare, and more than I60, 000 of these cars were sold. In England, the Austin A30 was a popular small car, as was the Morris Minor, The Hillman Minx. The Fiat 500, was another small car that would fit inside the Honguang Minni Van. The small Volkswagen Beetle was popular worldwide. The Holland Bjering Bedelia was a small car where the passenger sat in the front and the elevated driver in the back, and was popular as a police vehicle., The advantage being the police driver, sitting in the elevated back, could keep an eye on both the road ahead and the unwilling passenger in the front. There were many popular brands of small cars sold during that period

FANTASTIC! THIS is what people should be driving around town instead of giant SUVs with one person in it. Kudos to Wuling for producing this amazingly great car at such an affordable price. Probably not much smaller than my Fiat 500e.

Terrific! not one word... but it says it all. Brilliant engineering that needs to be imported right here in california. Of course by then I'd expect the price to jump by two fold, yet it wouldd still be reasonable. It's just unfortunate that our tariffs and restrictions on chinese car imports iare outrageously high! some did complain about a gear lever versus a knob? Who cares? Most people rarely switch gear in their fueled automatic car, unles they go up hill on stiff slopes. But an electric car needs no gear if the motor is directly linked to the weels and the torque is plentiful at low speed. Perhaps a gear would be needed in overdrive, but this car is not made for long highway drives. It was conceived for urban commutes. You're actually lucky that it can dive on freeways and considering the overwhelming number of tanks driving around at high speed, I would be scared to drive on anything but the first lane, which at 63 mph is just fine in CA since the speed limit here is 65 around most cities. At this price range, you're forbidden to whine! you need to switch to a lever gearing? Do it yourself and suck the additional expenses. But for me, leave the car as cheap as it is right now. A comfortable entry point into owning an EV, that all I'm asking and the Chinese have it. Unfortunately we don't and we won't anytime soon. Think about it. Getting any car converted to EV will cost you around 18K here!

Guys, this is a wild proposition but I'm serious, would you say it's possible to buy it in China and then drive it until Europe to bring it home?..!? With many stops of course. Since it's not imported here, i don't see any other solution :( How many charge cycles does its battery have?
