I think plastic coins are best for fast playing but wooden coins also good for perfect experience

Because
1. Most people use it
2. It is easy available in market also
3. And It also suits on carrom board wooden carrom board and wooden coins matches best

2.The smoothness of wood is bit less when compared to plastic being high.. That's why these plastic coins move effortlessly.
3. Sticker hit is more to wood than plastic since density difference.
4. Uniform distribution of weight over the circular coin of plastic..But woods of nature are bit uneven.
5. Wood coins get heavier in cold weather than plastic, so force of Stricker varies.
6. Skill in carrom game with Wood coins is thrilling.
