Justin Tuck: ‘We didn’t like Coach Coughlin’

Former Giants Justin Tuck says he did not like head coach Tom Coughlin. ‘But you better not say anything bad about him - not in my presence.’ Tuck signed a 1-day contract with Big Blue so he could end his pro football career as a New York Giant.

What he means by nobody liked coach coughlin is because of how much he worked his players. And that is a good thing. You don’t want to be nice to players as a coach.

Few have been truer Blue! He may not hold resentment at ownership and Reese pushing him out the door, but I always will... I'm sitting in my living room on Sunday, watching on TV, but even I understand the leadership Tuck brought to the organization. One of the finest Giants ever!!!

Coughlin is one of the best! His players hated him at times but they all eventually realized that he had everything to back up his system and style. The biggest mistake Giants made was firing Coughlin! If they kept him we’d have at least one more SB. No players would be partying with Bieber if Coughlin was coach.

What a class act Tuck is, just like coach Tom Coughlin was. It's funny how the so called hard ass coaches are the ones that wind up successful with this team. I sincerely hope the next head coach is also in the Parcells/Coughlin mold.... Go GIANTS!!!

it's hard because head coaches ARE our friend - yet they're NOT our friend - we're only ONE ingredient going
into a Five-Star meal. Head coaches are not always likable - and neither were/are we players. Especially when
we're not hitting our marks as a team - i.e. winning. Basketball was more fun when we won - when we were
average or bad no one even came to our games.
