Hi Folks, on a recent trip to see relations we had a short stopover in Singapore. Near our hotel was a small record shop. Only had 20 minutes to visit this but thought you might like a quick short look inside.
Mostly Japanese imports, a lot of Japanese stuff but a good variety of bins
NB the background track is Tibetan chanting!

Wow. This was so fun to watch. The albums all look like they're in fantastic condition too. Record collectors in Asia must have a challenge given the terrible heat and humidity out there. I have never seen a record shop in Singapore during my work travels there. Thanks for sharing this.

That was a pleasant little browse and nice to see The Men They Couldn't Hang's fantastic first album in there. Just had to have another listen...I hope you got revenge on the toast thief!

Hi Stevie, the prices looked pretty reasonable, but once you've factored in the air card maybe not. Cheers Mike

Very intersting Stevie. Prices fairly consistent ($25.00) struck me that the person in the shops English was fantastic, but I’m guessing English is probably pretty widely spoken in Singapore anyway? ( sorry my world knowledge is embarrassingly poor) nice that she recommended the shop on floor 2...can we go & see that? Strangely my favourite record you showed Marc & The Manbas was only $16.00, got ‘My Black Heart’ on that.Great lost single of the eighties.

No grades on the used records. Interesting. A bit like being in Den Bosch again. No grades there, either. Over confident sellers in the world, I reckon. Japan can be just as bad in the secondary market for used records online. Individual hobbyist sellers looking for no buyer recourse sometimes describe the record as “VG+ visual inspection only”
