Mr D’s Thermal Cooker Unboxing and First Look.
While at the Motorhome an dCaravan show at the NEC in Birmingham I stumbled across the Mr D's Thermal Cooker stand. To my surprise the person presenting the Themal Cooker to the public was actually Mr. D himself.
Mr. D had already use a Thermal Cooker to slow cook a Vegetable Curry and a Dahl at the same time. I was offered to taste some of the Thermal Cooked Food and can say that I was immediately convinced that this Thermal Cooker was a must have item for the Motorhome that we live in.
There was of course a "Show Special" price and some additional recipe books thrown into the deal.

Having bought Mr. D's Thermal Cooker only a few days ago we have now used it to Slow Cook a rather lovely Chilli and Rice following a recipe from the Thermal Cooker recipe book supplied with the Slow Cooker from Mr. D.

Excellent results from this Thermal Cooker. Much recommended purchase!

Following from Florida. You two are absolutely adorable. I’ll be investing on a Mr D’s cooker on my next payday. Thanks for all your useful information.

One small tip - whilst initially heating up your food inn the inner pan we put some boiling water in the outer container and close the lid. Empty the water out just before you add the inner container and it gives the whole thing a temperature boost.

I bought one before we moved into the caravan. I used it a few times. If u use the small top one you have to put boiling water in the big bottom one so as to help it maintain the heat. Great for when you have no electric and want to save on gas. I don’t use it much though as we only do the odd free camp. Happy cooking. Love getting new appliances. I just bought an air fryer 😋

That is invaluable bit of kit, especially when living in a Motorhome. We have taken note of this Steve. Thank you for sharing it with us. :)

I do enjoy your vlogs your very nice human beings it's a bit like following a soap opera . I've learnt a lot as well. We have just traded our caravan in at the Nec show for a motorhome but won't be delivered until March. Carry on with the soap 👍

So you cook a bit on the hob, then stick it in this gizmo to cook for hours and then come back to the lovely small of whatever all in the van, not sure I’d be keen on that.. Does it keep it hot once done or does it need to be nuked in the microwave? Good job you cleared space for it in the garage for this a I think. You mentioned meat, have you given up the meat free thing you were doing?

We have a Mr D’s cooker, brilliant thing, use it all the time when we travel. It was a bit pricey but it’s well made and seems very tough. The recipes provided are not bad....especially the veg curry and the dal. Enjoy!

A modern take on the old hay box. I like it though. Rod.

You two seem to love buying new gear, your van must be crammed. Are you hoarders? are we eventually going to see you on that telly program where they get an expert in to help chuck stuff out so they can move around their only joking although it would make good telly filmed in a van. The flask has always fascinated me on how it works, ill have to look at the science behind it. From what I know it is different to a normal food flask in that it cooks rather than keep food warm which seems impossible. Couldnt food factories use giant vat thermal cooking flasks to produce gallons of ready meals with free energy? Thanks for the unboxing video, seems expensive....hope you follow it up with a practical review..cheers

I had a slow cooker given to me. I useful it once, couldn’t bear the smell of cooking in the house for six hours. Those cooking smells just got baked into the house. Not a fan
