Cozy games are ones that make you feel warm and fuzzy when you play them. They're approachable for casual gamers and are comforting to play at the end of a long day. I'm always on the lookout for hidden gem games, so I'm bringing you ten small indie gems that are coming out in 2022!

There is cute and cozy cottagecore game that will release this year. It's called Mail Time. I think it has one developer. It's a story about mushroom delivering mail in the forest

I'm so glad that I've discovered games like these. I used to play "normal" games with cheats and mods in order to make all the annoying fighting super easy lol so I can just enjoy the story and the atmosphere. But games like Strange Horticulture are so much better, they are meant and made for that.

This post was a huge eye-opener for me and I'm circling back around 3 weeks later to let you know it exploded my indie gaming world. I had begun to realize that I was more attracted to indie games than the blockbusters, and was trying to find more, but was thinking it was me being idiosyncratic, and that there wasn't much. To suddenly realize there are a lot of other people who like what I like, and a lot of indies out there looking for a good home, was a revelation. Your descriptors--"beautiful art style", "lovely stories", "unique game mechanics", and "anything ghostie is super cozy" put into words what I was after, too. I'd add for myself "anything psychopomp". Thanks for the killer content, for "games are for everybody", for clearly saying what you like best about each game and showing a little gameplay, for having the chapters and time signatures for easy reference, for talking about the developers and for posting what platforms (known thus far) games will be available on. I started with some games you covered and added more, in a now ever-expanding list, and am having SO MUCH FUN! My list of must-haves (you'll recognized the ones you've mentioned and thank you): Bear and Breakfast, Little Witch in the Woods, Beacon Pines, Venba, Dordogne, Camp Canyonwood, Witchbrook, The Haunted Chocolatier. I'm currently playing Spiritfarer and Cozy Grove and have a list of several, including Florence, Goragoa, and Slay the Spire, that are available for next up. Thanks a million!

I totally agree. Yes triple A games are doing amazing this year, but indie games are also not falling short at all. Especially cozy games are just amazing and we have so many to look forward to!
