New Video feature on Quest lets you stream video files or download them for local playback. It supports regular, 180, 360 projections through timewarp layers for best image quality
• Streamed and downloaded videos will be encoded on-the-fly if needed to play on Quest
• On Windows you also have the ability to paste YouTube and other website URLs. Videos will be downloaded to your computer and streamed to your Quest

Dude, I just want to say that I absolutely love you. I’ve had issues with Airlink and been trying to fix it for weeks now. On and off with oculus customer support and all to no avail. I was ready to throw in the towel and just play quest exclusive titles, but then I came across VD and thought why not.

I kid you not when I say it just worked. Everything, no issues. My mind was blown as I sat there with my pc setup ready to go. You’re the man, cheers for your work. Worth every single penny.

Absolutely loving Virtual Desktop! I would love to know if there is a way to float my second monitor in environments, though. That would be very helpful. Is this something that might be possible?

Where are the video stored when you synchronise them on the quest ? Can't find them in the file explorer, nor in the storage analyzer.

can someone explain to me how Local Play works?? I thought I would be downloading the video to my Quest 2 but when I am on standalone it doesn't show, so .. what's the difference in playing and local playing?

I’ve downloaded 8k 180 content from other sources and it streams fine to VD from PC. But, if I download a YouTube 8k 3D video through the streamer app it won’t play on VD. What’s the limitation? The 8k videos look amazing and I’d love to see the YouTube videos in all their glory.
