Understanding relationships between tasks can help project managers to better discern when a project can be completed. It can be tempting to simply schedule one task after another but this can introduce unnecessary lead time. However, working to schedule tasks in parallel can introduce unnecessary risk and decrease quality. So it’s a balancing act to understand how tasks interplay with one another to enable a robust project schedule.
