This feels so new, uniquely different but yet so familiar. That's Batman to me, always evolving darkness that pierces the black that's striking into evil with vengeance. To me what Matt Reeves has done as made me appreciate the passion with the seriousness that puts the perspective into Batman's noir narrative roots. Robert Pattison & the the rest of the cast look & feel fantastic. I think we are on the threshold of a complex but completely different Batman story. The Riddler, Catwoman, Penguin are his rogues before they become hi rogue gallery of villains that reflects his inner uncompromising nature. Like he said, Bruce is trying to find a way to have self control of himself while as Batman, it's inner struggle to fight for the dark knight's soul. Selina Kyle is his heart, Alfred Pennyworth is his fatherly guide to his conscious & Jim Gordon is his comrade in his war to fight against crime in Gotham but to remind him staying in control of himself to stay calm even when those in the Gotham police or city don't trust him or hate him. Riddler is the main antagonist to his protagonist, the super villain with the reserve role starting out as Hush before becoming the Riddler. Playing mind games & to see if he can outsmart Batman or Bruce can outsmart him. It's a challenge, calling card as he starts out as a Serial killer with psychological riddles, mocking the Gotham police department then Batman comes in trying to solve the mystery & figure it out as becomes the world's greatest detective. Aspects like this creats such suspense with thriller intros into the mind sets of these characters. Batman will be at his darkest moments in this film with such rage & I couldn't be happier. Depth is what we need a Batman movie & their gonna deliver in March 2022! 😈🦇🔥
