Lenovo Vibe Shot 2nd Review - 3 Months Later!

My 2nd review of the Vibe Shot from Lenovo post the 5.1 update and launch in India.

The Lenovo Vibe Shot is powered by the 64bit capable Snapdragon 615 chipset that houses 8 Cortex A53 cores, 4 clocked at 1.7 Ghz each and another 4 clocked at 1 Ghz each coupled with an Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB RAM.

It has 32GB of internal storage and also a micro sd slot for memory expansion.

The Vibe Shot houses a 16MP Rear Camera and has a 5" 1080p IPS display with a 2900 mAh non removable battery.

The Vibe Shot currently runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Lenovo's custom Vibe UI on top.

i never think to use Lenovo brand before. it was bcoz my main phone had to be repaired (price was more expensive than vibeshot), i went to phone store and looked around many brands to purchase one as a temporary phone only. My criteria such as min powered by 3000mAH batt, dualsimcard active 4G, external sdcard slot and less than 5.5" screen size are fit with vibeshot. Later I decided to use vibeshot as main phone (2 simcards actives) and since +10months ago without any complaints. I'm quite satisfied with this phone.

1)Phone heats up while charging is it true?
2)Phone heats up even for normal usage like Facebook?

I have a very important question, I have a Lenovo K910, and there was not a single seilfie stick that I can use with it I tried selfie sticks that are sold in 10 different countries around Europe. Lenovo has it's own 3.5mm standart and Selfie sticks, just do not work. The vibe shot, has 8Mpx selfie camera. Can you try using a selfie stick with that phone and see if it works with it. Thanks fort e lovely detailed video.

I need to buy a new phone (Currently using Honor 6 (I was using Samsung s4, but due to lollipop issues i had to throw it away in the garbage, loved the phone camera, NOTE 2 also was great)
- SD card was and is very important for me (since i can reset my phone on the go, since they keep updating with screwy SW upgrades), without backing and wasting time
- I usually 100% zoom and compare, a 100% zoom crop lets me know which phone camera is good
- i like to have better battery - everyone does, but without the added bulk (honor 6 3000k I dont charge even once in day time, only night around 2 am (runs from 11 am to 2am easily without charging, with wifi/3g all apps, + lots of selfies in a day)
- I like to have a better user experience unlike XOLO / I know lenovo software is just OK. very rigid, but i can give that away for other features
- I like LOW light pics (1.9 / 1.8 / max 2.0 aperture )

Sidenote: hate the fact samsung took off SD card support or else i would be happy to have s6 and i wud not write to you.
For now I am thinking different even thinking going with a non SD card phone but 64GB model, for sometime till samsung launches something awesome with SDcard maybe samsung S7:

My current phone list below will give you what exactly I like: Please suggest me something out of the list below:
- Samsung s6 64 (i think battery is not good/ or else i wud buy, what do u think) - 44k

- Samsung s6 edge 64 (same as above "") - 47 or so

- Samsung note 5 64GB (too expensive, but for once i will go with it/ compared to LG g4 camera, LG g4 wins) - 59k / off market 50k ? non warranty piece worth the shot ?

- Samsung edge + 64GB has not yet launched damit

- Lenovo Vibe shot (awesome, but just dont know if it can beat the shit out of LG g4 camera and samsung s6/ note 5, or atleast produce same result) - 25k

- LG g4 (omg the phone camera is awesome - but with big screw ups - back stupid volume buttons / i heard battery drains even though its 3000, what do u think ?, any software update improvements news?)
35k ? worth it ? looks old and clunky, but hmmmm, ,

- NOTE 4, ahh awesome camera, similar phone, just a few things here and there, feel like camera software cud be better like note 5, but otherwise great - but compare to lenovo if the camera is similar or better i dont mind smaller n lighter phone, lenovo vibe shot 3000 battery and weight is good to go, wht do u think ?, note 4 ? or leave it, its still too bulky ?

Hey Ash - I know there is no IP certification for water resistance for Vibe shot - but could you or someone in the community share some details about how this phone fares with splashes. Just want to know if this device can be used in rains.
