Thanks for bringing back so many fond memories. I had the privilege and pleasure to live in beautiful Bamberg, Germany for 16.5 years. It too is in Bavaria but in Franconia. Such a good time and it opened my eyes as to how far America is behind Europe. I miss the food, drinks, amazing towns, festivals and my European friends. Man life was good and so easy over there. Thanks again best video you've made to date.

IMHO this episode was one of, if not the best. I really enjoyed the interaction between everyone. And getting a brief glimpse of German culture. Their hosts, Chris and Nicole were very friendly and welcoming to the Bourbon Moth crew. Giving them the red carpet treatment. And the piece of furniture that they built together was very nice. And hopefully Chris will send some photos of the finished piece to Bourbon Moth so we can all see how great it turned out.

I was stationed in Karlsruhe GE in the early 90s. I build my dining table with German White Oak. It has a distinctive scent. I also had to buy the lumber cut 8/4. Lots of milling.

I love the Segway into policy genius on this video, right after Chris tells you how his grandpa somehow managed to cut all his fingers off. I mean his motto must have been: safety last….if you have the time 😅. I loved Chris tho, he seemed like a genuinely cool guy

As a guy from Munich who loves woodworking this was absolutely lovely to watch! So nice to see him in a German environment, the piece is really beautiful too. Just sad that I didn't meet you guys at Oktoberfest haha. Really impressed if you actuallly drank 8 Maß...that would be crazy😅

Bauhaus is legit awesome. I loved going there when I lived in Germany. I miss the butcher shops too. Glad you got to go to Oktoberfest. It's a unique experience.
