This took me so long, I honestly don't know why, it should have been done weeks ago... I don't know how I feel about it, I've seen it so many times while working on it that I'm already tired of the video.
So I hope you all will like it, and with any luck your words and comments about it will make me love this video again :')

I guess it's maybe an unusual song choice for them? I just couldn't shake the idea... the main idea was, you know when the song goes "I don't feel a thing for you anymore"? well, LIES! xD
I felt like it reflected their inner conflict with their feelings for each other, the back and forward of their relationship. Fear not! is not all angst.
Anyway, enjoy!

ok im here and i still don't know how im going to leave a comment that encompasses all that i feel about this video but i will try my best


the first thing that struck me when watching this for the first time is your ability to find the smallest of parallels, like there were so many shots in this that I was like "wow, how did i forget that?' and thats why i feel this video stands out, your use of detail and scenes not seen in other videos for this show
"hoping I'll shield you from the world" and all those moments of pain and being unable to comfort the other and then leading to that HUG!!!
God i LOVE your use of objects and how you cut them into the emotional clips and make them part of the journey (a thing this show does so well and you've highlighted that! the pen! the snow!)

that angst filled sequence with the quieter music with their uncertainty of not just the others feelings but their own feelings??? art!


OK!!!! THE WAY YOU USED THE VOICEOVER OF GILBERT READING THE LETTER OUT AND THE WAY YOU BUILT UP THE TENSION AND THE HEART EYES IN THAT??? I AM SPEECHLESS!!! THE TENSION!!! THE ANGST!!! THE DUMBASSERY!! ITS ALL SO BEAUTIFUL!! and all the quotes about them and by them as well its just !!! i have no words for what that part makes me feel like legit i don't, and ending on THAT shot where he has his moment of clarity and that part of the letter? actual goddamn art.


As i said to you already, many times, i was so so excited for this video and you did not disappoint in any way, in fact you exceeded my already high expectations. Your skills in editing are already something Im so in awe of and wish I had even a pinch of it but also am so grateful that you actually do all these edits and allow mere mortals to witness your art.
I love that you can do these 'fast edits' and yet contain all these emotions, its a talent that very few possess.


Also side note, I, a Bears Den fan, had never heard of this song before and I am so thankful to you for introducing it to me even if it's not on spotify, it will now forever be associated with this perfect flawless piece of art of a video

This is one of the more original edits of Shirbert. Usually all the iconic shirbert scenes are overused in youtube videos, but here they are cut and alternated with rarer images in such a way that feel fresh and convey the mood excellently

i'm so happy i could finally watch this! when i saw it popping up a few days ago i already knew it would become my favorite video about these two. i think the song is such a great choice especially because it is an unusual one. it just hit the right tone for them ... if you know what i mean :') 1:07 - 1:32 were literally the best best part. together with the lyrics, so matching. just wow. the moment gilbert opened the door for Anne made me smile, loved the vibe from there on and all in all, this made me both, smile and still tearing up. so beautiful and great. i admire you for putting this together like you did.
