Conan is undoubtedly one of the best creative comedy writers. Even thought the Bugatti was borrowed and the paintings he destroyed on his last week were fakes. The fact that he was creative enough to pull it off and make it seam like he was really costing NBC money shows his creative genius. The only thing that actually really cost money in this bit was the Rolling Stone sound bit.

You know - Conan caught some flack for toning his style down a bit when he went to 11:30 and I guess that's fair but let me tell you - when the shit hit the fan and he had nothing to lose, he and the staff produced some of the best late night TV in decades - even better than some of the best stuff he did on "Late Night."

Interestingly Conan used this Bugatti to piss off NBC and calling them a rat at the same time. Kind of brilliant and funny.
