A Day Off-Road With Blackhawk Ridgecrawler R/T Tires And The Ford Bronco

Getting hooked up with a new set of off-road tires for your rig is not a cheap proposition. Often, it’ll cost thousands for a set of top-shelf off-road tires like BFGoodrich’s KO2 or KO3 tires. There is, however, a potential alternative from Blackhawk. The Ridgecrawler R/T tire is supposed to straddle the line between an all-terrain tire and an M/T tire, all while costing 20-30% less than the competition. We went out to the Las Vegas desert to find out just how true that is.

The Ridgecrawler R/T I have on my 15 F150 have about 8oz of weight on the tires just to get close to Balance. The Road Noise is well basically like a MT tire. BlackHawk is warranting my tires to get a better set that will get better balancing. I love the tires though so keeping them on my truck keep it up BlackHawk

I say my experience with Blackhawk tires is only with 205/65/15 h11 on 94 Taurus. They were great, much better than other budget tires I tried.Taurus was hit and totaled. Just got some 225/50/17 HUO1s for 2010 Lincoln MKZ awd. Can’t wait to see how they compare to the Achilles Sport tires that were on the car.
