They’re smoking crack over at Hifonics. You tested the Recoil RED1200.1 at 1500 watts at 1ohm for $125 bucks on Amazon and it’ll beat this amp by 200 watts for $100 less. No brainer.

Nice little amp! I have a hifonics THETA 1200.1 on a BT speaker i built..Its pushing 2 genius nitro 6 inch subs..Its like the perfect combination for the subs..Ive always been a fan of budget equipment..I will have to keep an eye out for these and the price for the whole new line up

Too bad you didn't test the 3k version. Does the protection circuit limit this amp to 887 at 1ohm no matter the electrical you have? So ill asume the 3k makes like around 2500 certified. Or does it acually hit the dynamic numbers playing music and make more?

I was trying to find some updates on Hifonics about a month ago and never found what I was looking for.... I ended up going with Lanzar MPD subs 1x 15 2x 12s 2x 8s... I'm probably going to add some 6.5s in the kick and bullet tweets overhead... Everything is in a 2000 Honda Accord (sedan). 15" is Free-Air 12s sealed and 8s tune port.

Disappointing 1 ohm performance. Awesome 2/4 ohm clean performance. However, I’m curious how this amp performs at like 12.5amps also what if anything happens at say .8/.67 ohms. 🎉 cheers
