I Bought A New Tractor for the Farm!

I bought a new to me tractor for the farm. It's a 2010 8320R. This is my second "big" tractor and will come in handy for pulling a tile plow and doing any tillage and other fieldwork during the growing year. In the spring I plan to put it on the sprayer for pre-emerge, and then mulch finisher for tillage. Next year I got the opportunity to rent some more land, so we want to be as efficient as possible.

You bought in my opinion, the best front wheel assist tractor deere ever made, 30series reliably, with R series comfort. ILS and power shift for a smooth ride and reliability, you didn't go wrong there buddy.

That says volumes about you that you explain to the younger people that your farming operation isn’t totally funding your equipment purchases. Social media makes it look like it’s easy to get new equipment, and if you aren’t driving newer equipment then you’re not successful. every operation is different, and has to be tailored to the individuals finances.. amount of ground, outside income, rent vs owned, etc.. there’s a lot of variables. It’s probably a lot harder to get started today than it was 41 years ago when I started. I already liked your channel, but I like it even more knowing how you are so up front, and how you clarify your business. Great channel!

I think you and Spencer need to build a grain bin on your property. Driving to the elevator multiple times a day must be a time drain when you are trying to get harvesting done. It will also allow you to sell your crop when prices are best.

No emissions and a powershift, great purchase Grant! I'd argue the powershift is a much better option than IVT, with IVT you will end up replacing it at some point.
