I just finished a massive redesign of Ashuadi - a writing system for a conlang I haven't designed yet. This is just a brief illustration of the way it works.

Crazy font design, both in functioning and aesthetic.

as a graphic design student and someone who recently got into conlangs i can say that's the most beatiful conlang writing system i've seen. i hope one day i can design something like that! :)

It looks beautiful. Reminds me of the Syriac script, especially the way the characters join together.

I love this! The way the font looks reminds me of Arabic, but the structure is different. So cool!

I really enjoyed this, for a few weeks I've had in mind the idea of creating my own conlang too, and seeing how cool your writing system turned out inspires me more. Thank you so much :)

I really enjoyed this video, it’s how I found your channel. Interestingly for the last year I’ve also been working on a script for a Semitic style conlang. And I’m also working on a font for it inspired a little by Kufic, and it’s interesting to see the different approaches we’ve taken with a similar starting point!

The font looks crazy beautiful.. like some lost cousin of Arabic and Arhamaic script .

Could you do a video on how you made the Font for this script? Creating Fonts for cursive abjad like scripts seems very complicated compated to something like Latin script.

this is really good. i've wanted to make a program for typing a script for a conlang im working on called Agoda, and i was wondering where to start. it's not left to right, its bottom to top for 3 letters and then you move to the right and to the bottom and write the next three letters too. it's also a structured syllabary and the punctuation can switch between horizontal and vertical (the space in the script is a piece of punctuation) do you know where to start? like could you recommend a program to use.

Hi. First, fantastic work with this writing system; it's fascinating to see how other conlangers implement the same featural elements as I have in my abjad, but with totally different choices! ;-) Second, how did you set up your font to 'hold off' on rendering glyphs until multiple characters have been entered? I very much want to do this with my own writing system, but at the moment, each keypress on the keyboard immediately spits out the associated glyph from the font. Whilst that's fine if I just want to print a consonant in isolation, it's frustrating when I wish to attach a vowel, diphthong, or triphthong to the consonant in situ (as these are diacritics), or if I hope to implement ligatures for consonant clusters. Is there a way to set this up in the font file itself, or are you using a large collection of 'auto-correct as you type' entries, etc.? Many thanks in advance for your advice!
