Great insight guys. I know the team has been thinking about first time user experience to improve stickiness for new users. Perhaps the answer has been sitting in front of them all along -- make a fun and compelling PvE mode.

Bots will always exist in some form in Splinterlands, simply due to player fatigue. Lets be real here. How many people can play a video game 7 days a week, every week, for several years. I played LOTS of FPS games, however I would often go a couple days in between sessions. I think a LOT of players left not due to the bot issue but simply fatigue. Regardless of earnings, most people have lives and families and other things going on where they cant play Splinterlands for a couple days here and there. I would rather run a bot and earn a smaller amount of earnings or less rewards cards, then let my energy stagnate and do nothing while im away from the game. Take you for instance Dwayne, if I remember, dont you have like 5 or 6 additional "scholar" or alt accounts? If you dont have enough time to play those accounts, it would make perfectly good sense for you to run bots on those accounts, instead of wasting the energy, no matter how paltry the earnings.
