All great things in life come to an end, so here's a sad announcement from Hive Division: it's the end of the journey for MGS Philanthropy.

Konami has gone too far I remember watching Part 1 as a kid and now I'm an adult looking back on some of the coolest things I had seen from fans of MGS and other video games and I will say from the bottom of my heart I'm sorry for what was done to this project.

It is so sad to lose such a great project. You all have my deepest respect and gratitude for everything that you have done for us, the fans.

There is a bit of a silver lining, however. It may be little consolation, but perhaps you can see that this only happened because you were so good. Big companies only take down the *best* fan-made works. I think it has something to do with the idea that, once you make something so professional that it legitimately rivals the quality of the intellectual property (IP) owners' own work, the IP owners' legal team feels the need to stop it, to prevent the owners from losing their exclusive right to produce such professional content based on that IP.

I am not defending that decision, and I do not like it, but that seems to be the way these things happen.

To Konami: Alright, you have stopped our beloved Hive Division from producing a terrific movie on your IP, which was your right. Now, I ask you: what will *you* produce with it, in place of Philanthropy? Will you give us _your_ artistic vision with a live action movie, made with love by dedicated fans?

To see this project end in this way fills me with.... The Sorrow. Sad.... so sad....

Yet, all good things must end, and so to Philanthropy, if we do not meet again, I say: Requiescat in pace.

Greetings to all at Hive Division - I was very sad to hear the news that Part 2 could not be authorized. As a longtime fan of the Metal Gear series, I just wanted to congratulate you on a phenomenal film (I saw Part 1 some three years ago now, but keep re-watching it constantly) and to say thank you for bringing the characters we all know and love to the screen in some way, shape or form. I for one, am eternally grateful. Good luck to you guys in the future, I myself will be following with great interest. You've done us proud Hive Division - keep it up :)

This should have become a licensed tv series. The quality of production and attention to detail in these videos surpasses a lot of series we see on tv today. Job well done guys, you can be proud of what you have created.

I thought the first movie you made was incredible and from the short film could tell it would have only continued to blow my expectations out of the water. A massive thankyou for giving us fans this great little treat while it lasted.

That's sad news, even Hideo Kojima himself wanted to see this second part. Let's hope he can do something, he's the only one with enough power to give you guys a chance.

I am very saddened that it has come to this, it actually feels quite surreal. But i am happy and very thankful for the first film and all its splendor. At least we had achieved something out of that. I wonder how Kojima feels about all
