The only logical way to put that many games on the eShop is to sell them in packs. Or, they can add a new category and put all of the classic games there.

With over 800 games to choose from, this would give Switch an upper hand on archive games that hasn't seen the light of day since the 90s. Games like original Splatterhouse and Bonk's adventure were great to play. These are the gamr I would to play on switch. There is no such thing as to many games. That is where Switch is smart.

They should have a free app with DLC for the 800 games

What Nintendo should do is make it so “Arcade Archives” is an app you can download on the Switch, then the application detects whatever AA games you purchased and lets you pick from what’s there, almost like what Nintendo does with their “Classics” consoles where the selection of games is saved to the board’s memory and you just select which game from the available selection you want to play.

Then: Nintendo Switch has no games!
Now: Nintendo Switch has too many games!

It's such a stupid argument to say more games is bad because "some of them are terrible". Here's a thought: don't buy the bad ones?

The only acceptable way for Nintendo to allow 800 arcade archives is if they improve the UX and UI of the eShop. This means better search functions, layouts, advertising, etc. Otherwise, games on the eShop will just get on and die instantly.

What I like to see is how Hamster would get the license deal from NAMCO, TAITO, KOMANI, hell even big names like SEGA, ATARI, CAPCOM games from the 80s.

Nothing wrong with more games. I never had a Neo Geo and always wanted one. Now I can play it all. ACA R-Type is coming. ACA Rampage is coming. And if they release more Nintendo games then it’ll BE Virtual Console. What’s the problem? I’ll pay $8 a game if I can have it on Switch. Not a big deal. What I’m not a fan of is the coin munching difficulty of some of them. I wish Capcom would jump on board with this. I NEED Alien vs Predator.

Why not!?! It’s great to have all that library available. You don’t have to buy them but for someone like me who has multi generations playing my switch, it’s amazing to have that variety.

I will say the eshop can benefit from some more organization. So that way if you don’t want to see such a large library you can just see what you want.

But for me this is great news and will keep the switch alive for my family for years!

Great video.
